In this video I answer a question that asks “what is your opinion on weight lifting? You looked like a big guy in baseball and even now I saw the picture of you on instagram…” Well Jacob, here’s my opinion on weightlifting for high school baseball players. You need to do a hybrid type program where you do a little bit of body building, some strength training, and a bunch of plyometrics and speed training. Since Olympic lifting is brought up all the time I touched on it as well and that I don’t necessarily recommend it because the risk vs reward for olympic lifting for baseball players or throwing athletes is too high.
