Walking Vs. Running For Fat Loss? Which one is better. I believe it is different for everybody. An important thing to consider is your running form and how much you weigh. Running can be great for fat loss by burning a lot more calories but at the same time running can cause some joint pain and joint pressure problems. If you are above 300lbs I would recommend walking instead of running.
