Here is an intense 200 rep HIIT abs workout you can do anywhere! It’s a real ab burner, and because it’s high intensity it’s also great for burning fat (which will make your abs more visible and aesthetic).
When I’m doing abs workouts, I like to vary my training between endurance-based workouts (like this one) and strength-based abs workouts (where I’m training skills like front levers, dragon flags, V-sits, etc).
Not only does varying your training style help to “shock” your abs into growing, but it also helps your abs to get used to training in different ways.
Many (if not all) calisthenics exercises require some kind of core engagement. Sometimes, the engagement required is very intense for short periods of time (such as when you’re doing L sits and front levers), and other times the engagement required is less intense, but spread out over a long period of time (e.g. when you’re doing pull ups, push ups, and planks).
By training endurance-based abs workouts and strength-based abs workouts together, you can strengthen your abs in preparation for any (and every) type of calisthenics exercise. I will be releasing some strength-based calisthenics abs workouts soon, so stay tuned for those!
