Top 3 Fitness Tips For Fat Loss

In this video we discuss my top 3 health and fitness tips. Particularly if your goal is weight and fat loss.

Top Tip #1 – Lift Weights.
lifting weights increases muscle mass. The more muscle mass you have, the more calories you will be burning, even at rest. 1lb of muscle will burn approximately 50 calories per day just sitting there! So if you have more of it, you will obviously have a higher metabolism and burn more calories than someone with less. Lifting weights also helps increase bone density, making them harder to break and helps increase joint strength and stability.

Top Tip #2 – Stay Hydrated
Water is ESSENTIAL for our well being and survival in general. Our bodies need water for a number of key functions including regulating body temperature. Without doing this we would die! Drinking water can also suppress your appetite. The next time you think you’re hungry, neck a glass of water and wait 5mins. You’ll probably find that you are no longer hungry.

Top Tip #3 NEVER be on a diet!
Diet’s are not permanent things which means they wont give you permanent results. They are also too restrictive. Going on a diet means that you will have to cut things out, often completely which is no fun for anyone! What you want to be doing is enjoying a healthy nutrition plan made up from LOTS of fruits and veggies, lean proteins, high fibre carbs and healthy fats, with the occasional naughty treat!
