I often get asked what makes intermittent fasting so powerful when it comes to fat loss.
A lot of people seem to believe that intermittent fasting causes fat loss in and of itself, but that’s not the case. The only reason a person end up losing body fat is because he or she is in a calorie deficit.
Now intermittent fasting can make you end up in a calorie deficit simply by you eating less during your days by skipping breakfast and possible lunch. All those breakfast and lunch calories become buffered into a smaller eating window, making it harder to overeat and hence that you end up in a calorie deficit.
So, it’s not that intermittent fasting will have you lose body fat, it might just help you do so more easily. The way IF helps you lose fat more easily is because of these 5 benefits:
1. IF creates a huge calorie budget for later in the day
2. IF improves satiety and enjoyment to the diet when cutting
3. IF enables you to more easily participate in social events and gatherings
4. IF saves you time
5. IF makes every meal feel like a cheat meal

Thanks! Hehe yea, been gone for a while for sure. I had a TON of things to take care of during early to mid summer (getting certified PT and diet consultant, working 9 to 5, writing blog posts, creating YouTube videos and working out a lot). I actually burned out and had no energy to do anything for a couple of months. But I’m back now, feeling better and have more time to do the things I enjoy.
