This week’s article is titled: The compatibility of concurrent high intensity interval training and resistance training for muscular strength and hypertrophy: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

It is a meta-analysis on the effects of concurrent High-intensity interval training with resistance training on muscular strength and hypertrophy. It showed that concurrent training had similar strength gain and hypertrophy to resistance training alone. Thus, an effective way to train cardiovascular fitness without negatively impacting strength or muscle mass.
