This short vid shows the basic variations on sit ups. Start with the half crunch until you can sit straight up and include variants later. Always do leg lift reps to start your lower abs exercises workout routines. Unless you’re super advanced.
Sit Ups are good exercise and upper abs focused, but if you continue bending forward it becomes a general area muscle builder. This is not one to do too many reps on without breaking for another exercise. It can also be a cool down exercise when done 1/4 up.
Bending the knees makes your body weight distribute away from your coxyx. If sit ups cause discomfort at all, use a mat or airbed.
