😱“If I lift weights I’ll get bulky like a man”
😱“I have to do cardio to get lean and lose weight”
😱“I want to be toned so i have to shape my muscle”

Well ladies, none of that really happens.🤔
If you want to look lean and toned… you have to RESISTANCE TRAIN. 🏋🏻‍♀️
Resistance training is anything from bodyweight, bands, or any outside force, yes even water! 🧗‍♀️🧘‍♀️🤸‍♂️🏊‍♀️
Adding muscle mass and growing our muscles allows us to burn more calories AFTER you finish your workout- yes even while you sit on your couch! 🔥
If having more muscle means burning more (from the stored energy in fat cells) you will essentially be setting yourself up for that goal you want! oh, and you’ll be able to eat more!! 😋

💪🏼Putting on muscle cannot make you look bulky, we don’t have the hormones for that, we just don’t make enough natural testosterone for those effects!

🏃‍♀️ Cardio should be used to train your heart and lungs.

If you really want to lose weight, look lean, and tone it up… resistance/strength training is your answer:
1. Do more reps
2. Do more sets
3. Add more weight

Stay uncomfortable.. that’s where you grow 🙌🏼💪🏼
