Trying out an abby pollock workout routine at la fitness. Lower ab workouts…Did it work?

Abby Pollock has been one of my favorite fitness gurus to follow for quite a while. I just love how scientific and thought out her approach is to her videos. I wanted to give one of her workouts a try and here is what happened!

Lower ab workout plan & my reaction:

seated bicycle crunch 3 x 10: i thought it was going to be super easy on the abs but it was a tad bit more difficult. probably the easiest movement of the whole workout. it definitely targeted the lower abdomen. a good warm up movement for the core.

plank to down dog (single leg) 3 x 10: this was one of the top two hardest. keep in mind i just did a challenge where i tried to do 100 push ups which i recently put on my channel so my arms were significantly sore. the abs weren’t hurting as much as it was just difficult to keep my body up due to the arms being weak. this is also a good stretching position for athletes which i plan on making a yoga for athletes video soon. this is a motion where you want to do it slowly if you want to engage your muscles. great side abs workout as well as lower abs.

reverse 8 crunch 3 x 10: it wasn’t too hard, my muscles didn’t feel too exhausted. it was more just super awkward in movement. it took a while for me to find a proper flow. it’s a movement i’m not used to doing which is good in a way because then it engages new muscles i don’t usually engage.

spider-man plank 3×10: once again this one was more so hard just due to my arms. i did do this movement in a previous ab video. i like it because it engages your side abdomen muscles. your core is also engaged keeping you upright.
