The Jungle loop – a great course to work aerobic-anaerobic threshold – that is, riding just this side of the aerobic zone while occasionally dropping into the anaerobic zone.
This kind of work maximises the speed that can be maintained over longer periods – not sprinting but certainly way past ‘comfortable’ 🙂
Best results are gained by riding the lower edge of the aerobic zone (most intense) for 10 to 15 minutes.
Legs will burn, but that’s OK 🙂
As an aside, to get the best data, it is necessary to have your heart-rate and power zones configured correctly in Strava or other analysis software.
